"The writer did a fine job creating an interesting character-driven
story using original characters and circumstances in a classic "who
done it". The nice balance of comedy and drama is hard to achieve yet
the writer has done so quite well. Moreover, the opening scene is both
interesting and heartbreaking, two very good reasons to inspire any
reader to finish the script to find out what happens. The life journey
of Jake is accessible and realistic, and the writer did a wonderful job
at helping the reader 'see' the characters simply through their
dialogue and brief, yet spot-on, descriptions (Shake and Walter come
immediately to mind), no small feat to be sure." - Blue Cat Screenplay Competition
"I must say, I really enjoyed it. It had the right amount of
everything good. It had the humor needed to not make it too depressing,
but at the same time, it held its ground and retained its seriousness.
Good luck with it in the future! And if you got anything else, feel
free to send it my way! 'The story has a "searching for the american
dream while the world is against you" feel to it. I love movies about
the American dream - Requiem For A Dream -awesome movie. Pi -great
movie. American Beauty... etc etc.." - Rick Garvey, Songwriter
